The usual advice was to start on Ezoic and move up to Raptive. Ezoic’s February 2026 rule reversed that order. If your site is under 250,000 monthly active users and not already on Ezoic, Raptive is the one you can apply to, provided its geography and age conditions hold.
This comparison sticks to what each company publishes. It makes no claim about which earns more per visitor, because no published figure answers that honestly.
Raptive vs Ezoic side by side
Every row comes from the companies’ own help pages and terms, checked 2 November 2026. The full joining conditions are in our guides to Raptive requirements and Ezoic requirements.
| Raptive | Ezoic | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry bar | 25,000 pageviews a month; 50% of traffic from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand or Australia under 100,000 pageviews, 40% at 100,000+; domain at least 6 months old | 250,000+ monthly active users for new sites; grandfathered if monetising before 19 February 2026; Incubator below that |
| Model (own words) | “We handle everything related to the ads on your site” | “online platform”; machine learning tests ad configurations |
| Revenue share (as published) | “You always get 75% of all ad revenue”; agreement: at least 75% of Ad Revenue | Terms of Service: no less than 82% of Net Revenue from display ads, less adjustments |
| Basis of that share | Ad Revenue: amounts promised by ad buyers, net of sums due to buyers or enabling partners | Net Revenue: advertiser payments less ad-serving, data and collection fees |
| Payment terms | Net-45; paid whether or not advertisers pay | Net 30 default (Net 60 +1.5%, Net 90 +2.25%); paid after Ezoic is paid |
| Minimum payout | $25 ($100 by wire) | $20 |
| Exclusivity | Exclusive source of display and video ads | Remove all non-Ezoic ad codes |
| Leaving | Written notice; terminated within 30 calendar days | Deactivate in the dashboard; balance paid about 120 days after month end |
| Support | Help Center tickets, dashboard Support button, [email protected] | Knowledge Base, Community, tickets from Level 2, chat |
The units differ: Raptive counts pageviews, Ezoic monthly active users. Neither converts into the other, so read each bar against the matching number in your analytics.

How each network works
Raptive sells itself as a managed service. Its “Getting Started with Raptive” article says: “We handle everything related to the ads on your site so you can focus on creating incredible content while you enjoy the passive income.” It lists custom ad placement, advertiser relationship management and “Exclusive premium campaigns negotiated by our in-house sales team”. Sites with at least 100,000 monthly pageviews also get a custom ad strategy covering revenue goals, ad categories and layouts.
Ezoic’s Terms of Service call it “an online platform that provides online advertising and content optimization services”. Its help pages say EzoicAds “uses machine learning to find the ideal ad configuration for every individual visitor” and that it “generally takes 30 days to Ramp Up”. Plainly read, Raptive puts a team on your ads; Ezoic gives you software that tests layouts.

Revenue share and payments
Raptive publishes its share in plain terms: “You always get 75% of all ad revenue, and you can see this in your Raptive dashboard.” Its service agreement sets the floor at “at least 75% of Ad Revenue”, paid “regardless of whether any amounts reported are actually received by us”. Ezoic’s help pages say only that it “operates on a revenue-share model”, but its Terms of Service set a floor of 82% of Net Revenue from display ads, after deductions Ezoic determines, including adjustments for invalid traffic, traffic quality and advertiser charge-backs.
Do not set 82% against 75% and call it a win for Ezoic. Raptive’s 75% is of Ad Revenue, net of sums due to buyers and enabling partners; Ezoic’s 82% is of Net Revenue, after ad-serving and data fees and then Ezoic’s own adjustments. The figures are not directly comparable.

Payment timing points the other way. Raptive pays on a net-45 schedule: January’s ad revenue pays out on 15 March, February’s on 15 April. It guarantees “full payments for creators whether or not we receive payment from advertisers”. Payments go through Tipalti, with a $25 minimum, or $100 by wire for most countries. Direct deposit and PayPal carry no Tipalti fee; a US wire costs $15.00, and non-USD payments carry a 2.5% conversion fee.
Ezoic defaults to Net 30, with Net 60 (1.5% bonus) and Net 90 (2.25% bonus) options and a $20 threshold; the detail is in our guide to Ezoic payments. Its terms add that you are not entitled to payment for ads “unless and until the Company has received payment for such Ads from the advertiser”. Ezoic pays sooner; Raptive carries the risk of advertisers paying late.
Contracts and leaving
The Raptive Service Agreement makes Raptive “the exclusive source of all display and video Ads on your Site(s)” unless it approves direct sales in writing. The term runs until terminated. You leave by written notice to [email protected], and the service is “deemed terminated within thirty (30) calendar days” of receipt. Re-applying later means the full approval process again.
Ezoic’s exclusivity comes from its monetisation policies, not a contract clause: “You are required to remove all non-Ezoic ad codes from your website.” You also need Google MCM approval. You deactivate in the dashboard, and a balance of $20 or more is paid within approximately 120 days after the end of the month you left; below $20 it stays unpaid. A grandfathered site that removes Ezoic for more than seven days loses that status.

Raptive vs Journey and Raptive vs AdSense
Journey by Mediavine asks for “a minimum of 1,000 sessions from Tier 1 countries (including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia) within a 30-day period” and calls itself “a self-supported ad management solution”: a far lower door than Raptive’s, but self-serve. Mediavine publishes no Journey revenue share. Its conditions are in our guide to Mediavine requirements, and the Mediavine comparison lives in Ezoic vs Mediavine.
AdSense sits lower still. Google’s eligibility page sets no traffic minimum; it asks for unique, original content that attracts an audience, compliance with programme policies, an owner aged 18 or over and access to the site’s HTML. The trade is that you manage everything yourself. Our guide to AdSense requirements covers the conditions.

Who fits which
Pull three numbers before you decide: monthly pageviews, monthly active users, and the share of traffic from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Each network gates on a different one.
- Under 25,000 pageviews. Neither is open to a new site. AdSense or Journey are the realistic options; Ezoic’s Incubator takes 20 sites a month by application.
- 25,000 pageviews or more, half from the five countries, domain six months old. Raptive is open to you. Ezoic is not until 250,000 users, short of an Incubator place.
- 100,000 pageviews or more. Raptive’s geography bar drops to 40%.
- 250,000 monthly active users or more. Both are open. Choose on model: managed, net-45 and guaranteed, or self-serve, Net 30 and paid after collection.
- Grandfathered Ezoic site. Moving to Raptive means removing Ezoic’s code; coming back after seven days means the 250,000-user rule.

One limitation. These are entry rules and contract terms, not earnings. Both companies add a quality review, and both change their terms; check the current pages before you plan around this summary.
Frequently asked questions
Is Raptive or Ezoic easier to join?
For a new site, Raptive: 25,000 pageviews a month plus geography and domain-age conditions, against Ezoic’s 250,000 monthly active users.
Does Ezoic pay a higher revenue share than Raptive?
The numbers cannot settle it. Raptive pays at least 75% of Ad Revenue; Ezoic’s Terms set a floor of 82% of Net Revenue from display ads, after deductions Ezoic determines. The bases differ, so the percentages are not directly comparable.
Can I run Raptive and Ezoic on the same site?
No. Raptive’s agreement makes it the exclusive source of display and video ads, and Ezoic requires you to remove all non-Ezoic ad codes.
How much notice does Raptive need if I leave?
You send written notice to [email protected] and ad services are deemed terminated within 30 calendar days of receipt. If you re-apply later, the site goes through full approval again.
The takeaway For new sites, Raptive is now the lower bar of the two. Compare the services on model, payment timing and who carries advertiser risk, not on the headline percentages, which sit on different bases.
