The top domain sales of 2026, as far as the public record goes, come from one place: DNJournal’s year-to-date Top 100 chart, which ranks the highest domain sales reported in all extensions “through October 18, 2026”. It now takes at least $100,000 to get on it. We reproduce the 35 entries priced at $250,000 or more, credit DNJournal for the list, and add what its chart does not spell out: which prices were confirmed by a party to the deal, which year the big ones really closed, and what the mix says.
Reported since the chart, not yet on it: Daytona.com at $500,000 in a private sale, announced by the AI company Daytona and logged by NameBio on 20 October, and Tick.com at $600,000 through Sedo, confirmed by the buyer’s broker and logged on 27 October. DNJournal’s next report will show whether they join the table. The latest week, 26 October – 1 November, is covered in domain sales this week, and the whole month in our October 2026 domain sales report.
Shop.com, $99 million: Shopify’s quarterly filing, released on 3 November, shows “$99 million on the acquisition of intangible assets”, which Domain Name Wire and DNJournal both tie to Shop.com, a purchase first reported in late September. The filing does not name the domain outright. DNJournal says it will add Shop.com to its charts in its next report; if it does, it will top this list, above AI.com.
Top domain sales 2026: every sale of $250,000 or more
Ranked by price; “=” marks a tie. DNJournal numbers its own chart slightly differently (it lists Mogul.com fourth, above Clarity.com and TradingCards.com). “Reported” is the date the sale appeared in DNJournal, not the closing date. “Confirmed” means the buyer or a broker on the deal disclosed the price; “reported” means it comes from DNJournal’s chart and we have not verified it independently.

The full chart, including the entries between $100,000 and $250,000, is on DNJournal’s 2026 YTD Top 100. All are cash sales; none is reported as part of a company or website purchase.

Why AI.com and Club.com are on the 2026 chart
The two biggest entries were reported in 2026, not sold in 2026. DNJournal’s rule, stated on 14 April: “If a sale is being reported for the first time and has closed within the past 12 months, we put it on our latest bi-weekly Top 20 sales chart and add it to the current year’s YTD Sales Chart.” Older sales go into the archive for the year they closed.
AI.com closed in April 2025, according to The Block, for “approximately $70 million in cryptocurrency”. Its buyer, Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek, announced the purchase on X in February 2026, and broker Larry Fischer confirmed the price. It is the largest publicly disclosed all-cash domain sale; we qualify that because The Block notes Cars.com was valued at $872.3 million as an intangible asset inside a 2014 company acquisition. Club.com closed in June 2025 and was disclosed by the buyer’s broker, Andrew Miller, who said he rarely gets to disclose such prices “as they are under NDA”.
Green.com at $7.5 million is the third entry and the least certain. The figure came from George Kirikos, the broker would not comment on price, and the buyer is unconfirmed. Treat it as reported.

Confirmed buyers: companies buying their own .com
Four of the top six have a publicly named buyer: Crypto.com’s CEO for AI.com, and the companies Club, Mogul and Clarity for their own names. Mogul, a fractional real estate platform, moved from Mogul.club to Mogul.com for $1,300,000; its co-founder Alex Blackwood confirmed the price. DNJournal’s comment: “A company starts out on an affordable non .com TLD but, if they gain enough traction, their first move is to acquire the .com.”

Clarity, the venture investment platform formerly Hiive.com, paid $3.5 million for Clarity.com in a private sale. Its founder and CEO explained how: “Dollars. 3,500,000 of them, to be exact.” We cover that deal and the rest of its week in domain sales this week, 12–18 October. Below the top six, no buyer is publicly named for any sale in the table.

What the breakdowns show
Our counts cover the 35 rows above only, not DNJournal’s whole chart.
- Extensions: 26 .com, 8 .ai and 1 .org. DNJournal says Liquid.org, at $300,000, is the biggest non-.com gTLD sale of 2026 so far.
- Price bands: 10 sales at $1 million or more, 25 between $250,000 and $1 million.
- Concentration: the top ten total $98,900,000. Without AI.com, the other 34 rows total $39,412,245.
- Venues: Atom.com is credited on 6 rows; Sedo, private sales and LegalBrandMarketing on 3 each.
The .ai trend shows up more clearly on the full chart. DNJournal’s 21 October report says the 2026 chart now holds 40 .ai domains, against 23 on the full-year 2025 Top 100 and none in 2019, citing a study by Arif Sengoren. Our post on recent .ai domain sales follows that extension week by week. The entry bar has risen too: from $59,999 in 2019 to $99,888 in 2025, and at least $100,000 this year.

What DNJournal’s chart leaves out
The limitation is built in, and DNJournal says so: its charts are “the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us”, “an educational tool, not a complete list”, because “many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both.” Lease-to-own deals cannot be charted until fully paid and transferred. Foreign-currency prices are converted at the rate when reported. So the chart is a floor on what the market did, not a measure of it.
For the record holders across all years, see the most expensive domain names; to look up one name’s past sales, use domain sales history. And if a chart like this has you wondering about your own name, the free Domain Worth Calculator gives a value band based on extension, length, words, characters, age and links. It is not a market appraisal, it was not run on these sales, and most names never sell for anything close to $250,000.

At least $100,000, according to DNJournal, up from $59,999 in 2019.
